Workin' out in the Viking Gym
Hunter and Chris were both interns together. They were also allowed to work out in the same gym as the team. Hunter really liked Chris--he said he was a great guy.

Hang ON!!
Cody thought he was going to be left out, NO WAY--not when mommy's around! I threw him down the zipline and he laughed the whole way back! I was grateful he held on!
McDonalds Reward
After a two mile walk with the kids and a few hours of park-time--McDonalds looked like a beacon of light just waiting for us at the end of a long road! I've never been so excited for extra calories and flab! This McDonalds had two large movie screens over a fireplace with Disney movies playing. The kids were happy as they ate and watched the movie. Smart business!
Zipline Silliness
This park actually had a zipline for the kiddos! We've spent hours zipping down this wire. The kids were eccstatic! It doesn't take much to have a great time!Playfield Fun!
This park has multiple playfields for the kiddos to go crazy on! YEAH! We needed all the outdoor activities we could come up with--instead of being stuck in a one-room hotel together for too long! The kids and I have come to this playfield the past two days. It's a mile walk from our hotel. By the time we finally trudge home, the kids are zapped and ready for bed! It's all in my plan! I'm so glad Minnesota has sooooo many great parks!Monday, May 19, 2008
Maple Grove Hotel--Minnesota
We were so happy that our hotel had a kitchen! Stuffing a 5 person family into one room for two weeks would not be good--without a kitchen! We went to church in Minneapolis on Sunday--of course, there was road work being done and about ten "one-way" roads that kept us from arriving on time, but we got there in time to hear 2 wonderful talks about humility. Being a member of the LDS church affords you a "built in family" where ever you go in the world. Everyone was so friendly! The gospel's true!

The kids were excited to see a theme park INSIDE a mall! People were actually arriving early--just to walk for exercise! This is the largest mall in the world--pretty impressive!Friday, May 16, 2008
Who needs a matress? :-)
Cody loves to fall asleep on mommy, around mommy, with his hands in mommy's hair, etc. This boy never had a binky or a blanket for comfort--he just needs to be touching his mom! Funny kid!Playtime after FINALS!!
What a great way to celbrate the end of a wonderful day! Hunter and Brent are done with finals for the semester. Chad and Emily, from AZ, came and said hello. It's always fabulous catching up with old friends!! Chad, Hunter and I had a communications class together at MCC before Mariah was born. Great memories!!
Game night with O'laughlin's and Johnston's
Chad and Emily visited Kansas this week! Chad had a business trip to Kansas City and was willing to drive the extra hour to see us all in Topeka! YEAH! We ate and played. Can't wait to see tem again!Wednesday, May 14, 2008
BIG NEWS!!
Hunter has been hired on as an intern for the Minnesota Vikings and the Kansas City Chiefs! This was truly a dream come true for Hunter! He'll be splitting his summer with these two different football teams and summer school. What's great is that Brent (my brother) is also interning in Kansas City--so Hunter will be able to carpool with him. With gas prices as rediculous as they are, we were so grateful that Brent was going the same direction! We're hoping that Hunter will be offered a permanant position as an attorney for one of these teams. Wouldn't that be thrilling?!! YEAH for the Hunt MAN!
Thoughts on Family
So--I've been reflecting on all the most influential people in my life. At the top of the list, are my family members. I've been blessed with large families who inspire and uplift me every day. I just wanted to pass on a big THANK YOU to all you family members who take time to make us feel loved. We appreciate you more than you'll ever know. We are very fortunate to get to rub shoulders with all of you. We love you! I've posted just a few family photos that were taken over the past year---just to remind you all of the great times we've had! Here we are--living at least a thousand miles apart, but the moments we DO get to share--are my favorite times. Can't wait to see you all again soon!

9 years of mommying! YEAH!
Hunter took me out for Mother's day. We ate at Olive Garden and enjoyed a stroll through the mall--stopping at the playcenter for Cody. He and I are really fortunate to have such wonderful kids. Mommying, although really tough at times, is the best part of my life! We're a lucky pair.
Cleanser--anyone?
There's nothin' like maskin' with the hubby! I love that Hunter has such a great sense of humor. We sure have a good time together!

Amber and Mrs. Ansley-Kindergarten Teacher
Mrs. Ansley is a fabulous teacher! She taught her kids through music and art. Of course, I was very impressed. Amber had nothing but good reports throughout her kindergarten year. She's a very wonderful little girl! Way to go Amber!

Marriage Bliss
Though marriage is not always THIS flowery :-), we are a happy couple. We've stayed by each other's side through thick and thin, rain and snow and ICE (thanks to Kansas winters!)--and we're still proud to be pluggin' along--side by side. Hunter's first final is tomorrow at 1:00--it's amazing he's still smiling! But guess what?! We'll only have one more year of law school left! Can you believe it?! The Huntman and I
Gage Park was beautiful! It was a bit of fresh air during a tense finals preparation week. We headed to the Park with Brent and Michelle's family. A Twilight heaven.
